Alexandra Risley Schroeder writes ecology as poetry, inspiration, metaphor and companion.

She lives above a floodplain of the Connecticut River where her professional, creative and volunteer activities have long twined around responding to the climate crisis. Her training in education, political science, qualitative research and interfaith Earth ministry combine to ground her years of creative, regulatory and policy writing in a sense of wonder and possibility for the planet.

Her poems have appeared in EcoTheo Review, Poetry Northwest, the tide rises, the tide falls, Naugatuck River Review and elsewhere. She was longlisted in the Palette Rising Poet Contest A poem was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
